Stevie Nicks was born in Phoenix, Arizona, United States to Barbara Nicks (mother) and Jess Nicks (father).
Her mother died at her home in Paradise Valley, Arizona on December 28th, 2012 after a brief battle with pneumonia.
Her father died on August 10, 2005, from heart failure at the age of 80. He was the owner of the now-defunct concert venue Compton Terrace which he built in 1979 after retiring as president and chairman of Armour/Greyhound.
